The 7" X 24" X 20" work area allows large structures to
be tested. The SSA 1000 is designed to test bridges built to the new
International Bridge Building Committee Standards. The area is totally enclosed
with high-impact polycarbonate shielding for the protection of you and your
students. It also has a safety interlock which does not allow the test to run

ALPHA NUMERIC LCD READOUT
keeps operator informed of test status by displaying force up to 1000 lbs., deflection up to 1.5 inches and senses failure of model locking onto ultimate strength. MODE ROCKER SWITCH allows operator to scroll and select: CONTINUOUS MODE places unit in automatic cycle. INCREMENTAL MODE can be pre-selected by a push of a button, loads from 10 to 100 lbs. UNIT MODE choose between SAE and Metric units MAXIMUM FORCE allows operator to select a maximum force from 5 to 1000 lbs, which will not be exceeded. ![]() OUR OPTIONAL TENSILE TESTER UNIT Allows students to show force and elongation of tensile specimens demonstrating yield, strength, strength to weight ratios of various metals (ie: steel vs. aluminum). |
